12 month well visit

Caleb had his 12 month well visit yesterday with Dr. Helwig.  He is growing nicely on the same curve he's been on.  He weighs 24 lbs 9 oz,  is 32 1/4 in long and his head circumference is 18".  He is in the 97% for height, 75% for weight, and 25% for head circ.  Caleb got 3 shots in his ARMS yesterday.  That's right, our baby must be growing up if they're moving from his legs to his arms =( He cried.. A LOT but in the end was ok of course.  The doctor warned us that 2 of the vaccines are live and he could spike a high fever and get a rash in the next 10 days from the vaccines.. she said only 4 out of every 100 children get this.. hopefully Caleb is not that 4%!  Developmentally he is pretty much on track.  He should start saying more words soon and we should start weaning him from bottles completely.  He's already made the switch to whole milk and has been doing great on that.  I think this weekend we will start by taking away his 2 daytime bottles and giving him milk in a sippy cup during the day and just give him a bedtime bottle, see how he does with that before taking the bottle away cold turkey.  He goes back for a 15 month check up in August, and another round of shots which we opted to wait on.
